Meet the EC
Staff

I became a campus Minister at the UWGB
Ecumenical Center in August 2000. I currently serve half-time here. In the years I have been in this
position, it has been my joy to be available to help, to talk with, and to
meet the needs of the students, staff, and faculty on campus. Currently, I
lead the Protestant worship service on Sunday evenings, Bible studies, a
book discussion group, and other events.
I graduated from UWGB in 1988, before going
on to Moravian Theological Seminary. I was ordained as a pastor in the
Moravian Church in 1991. Since then I have served congregations in Daggett,
Michigan; in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and here in Green Bay. I am
married to Art Hanson. We have two dogs and several nieces and nephews.
You can see photos of them on the door of my office.
Stop in and chat!
Jason Pues grew up in Nichols, Wis (outside
Seymour). He will be happy to share with you stories of some of the
shenanigans he and his siblings pulled growing up.
Musically, Jason is spectacular. He has
been playing for worship services since he was 9 years old. He currently
is the Director of Music at the East Side Moravian Church. He also works
in Door County during the summer and at Schroeder's Floral here in Green
Bay during the winter.

Jan brings her love of students to the EC after spending time working
as an elementary school principal, 4-H Youth Development Agent and
Residence Hall Director at UW-Oshkosh and UW-Whitewater. She has a
master's degree in counseling with an emphasis in student development.
Jan loves company! Feel free to stop by any time to chat----her door is
open! When Jan isn't at the EC, she is at home in Door County where she
works as a professional auctioneer and personal property appraiser. She
is married to Mike, who is a middle school Spanish teacher. Jan loves
gardening, reading, collecting antiques, music and movies.
Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper. Jill
joins the EC after spending the last 15 years working in customer
service, most recently at Wisconsin Public Service. She welcomes the
opportunity to contribute to the EC’s administrative team. Jill is a
UW-Green Bay graduate and has a background in business and marketing.
She is married to Steve and has two boys, Max and Levi.
-if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Gladiola here
some day! We love her to pieces. (And you will too!) Glady helps boss us
around, but she does it in such a great way that you can’t wait to see her
again! Glady is a grandma of lots and lots of kids! She loves traveling
and is a terrific seamstress. (So if your pants rip- bring ‘em over!)

Hi, my name is Dana Brockman. This is my
first year working at the EC and I absolutely love it! I am from
Freedom, WI, which is about 30 miles southwest of Green Bay. I am a
junior here at UWGB and am majoring in elementary education. About me,
well, I love kids, a major reason why I want to become a teacher. I love
to be active; I play just about any sport. I play softball for UWGB and
love it. If I don’t know you already, let’s get to know each other!
Meeting new people is great! The EC has a wonderful atmosphere, whether
you want to relax, play games, or hang out. Don’t be afraid to walk
through the building, I guarantee that you’ll find the EC to be a
fantastic place.

Hello everyone! My name is Rich. This year begins my fourth year at GB,
but most certainly not my last. This year also marks the beginning of my
exciting career at the EC! I am a Business Management Major with an
English minor. I am a true Ameryite from the Polk county region of WI.
It’s a small city of about 2800 people and about 4 1/2 hours to the West
of GB.
As for more about me…plain and simple, I love sports, music and
movies. If you play any intramurals here at GB, chances are you will see
me. I pretty much play them all. I love any and all music. I literally
listen to almost everything. (You’d be surprised) And I also love every
genre of movies. I watch them all. As you can see, I’m easy to please.
As for the rest of you, if you haven’t been to the EC yet, I would
stop by. The people are great and the facility is fantastic. I always
love meeting new people and I’m sure my co-workers wouldn’t mind seeing
and getting acquainted with a few new faces themselves. Looking forward
to seeing some of you around this year!
